These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Receipto, the offline-first billing and shop-management app for retail stores in India ("the Service"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
Receipto provides billing, inventory, customer khata (ledger), expense tracking, and related tools for shop owners and their staff. The app works offline on your device and syncs your shop's data to our servers when you are online.
When you accept UPI at checkout, the customer pays directly to the UPI ID you entered in your shop profile. Receipto never touches, holds, or routes this money — it goes straight to your bank account. Confirming receipt of a UPI payment is your responsibility.
The app is designed to work offline, so billing continues even without internet. We aim for high availability of the sync and payment servers but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses caused by downtime, data loss beyond our backup retention, or third-party outages (internet, UPI networks, Razorpay).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app; continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the new Terms.
